This is why I’m only doing half-blogs.

The question is, “What is your favorite childhood book and why is it important to you?”
I had several favorite childhood books. My favorite one on the cool factor was called Ghosty Ghost. It was about a ghost coming out of a bottle in a wine cellar and coming to scare you, but I can’t find it anywhere on the interwebz! Ghosts were all the rage back then, if you’ll remember, so that’s why I liked it so much. My mom’d read it to me every other night or so, and it never got old… or maybe it did but I was so determined to like it that I’d have her read it again anyway.
On the scary factor, my sister and I shared this truly horrific pop-up book about a booby-trapped castle. A tour guide guides a group of people through the castle and on every page, you can pull a tab and a monster will kill that person. I think a ghoul comes out of a wall or something at some point…. Anyway, by the end of the book, there is only one or two tourists left in the group, and on the last page, the tour guide takes off his face and reveals he was a monster the whole time. It’s really creepy, even for today’s standards!
I can’t find that book, either, and it looks like I’ve run out of time for these brief half-blogs. Hopefully the length and quality of the previous posts will make up for the eleven I am short.
